Residential Mental Health, Eating Disorder and Addiction Programs for Teens, Young Adults and Families

Finding Connection in Recovery

Residential Treatment Program

Why Do Young People and Families Choose The Wave?

At The Wave, our trauma-focused mental health and eating disorder programs – for teenagers and young adults – are experiential and creative, designed to build a strong foundation that leads to a lifetime of wellness and recovery.

Our unique approach offers treatment plans tailored to each young person’s specific needs with an equally weighted focus on full recovery and positive growth.

The Wave programs create a safe space to truly transform and heal from the past. We focus on providing the care and support needed for our young people and their families to work through the process of change and give them hope that change is possible.

An essential part of building that hope is being able to feel that recovery is possible, which is why our programs encourage active enquiry, getting involved, trying out new skills and activities, and being part of a community. We provide opportunities for our young people to change direction and find a new path through shared experiences.

We understand that young people need time, stability and a safe space to recover from eating disorders, mental illness and addictions. Our minimum stay of 12 weeks ensures that our teenagers and young adults enjoy a stable community and benefit from minimal disruption during their treatment at The Wave.

Our young people leave us believing in themselves. Our families leave feeling heard and empowered.

The Wave Programs – Designed with Young People at Heart

The Wave Programs have been designed by leading adolescent clinicians with extensive experience in providing excellence in mental health care for young people and their families.

Our programs are a unique concept that combine exceptional mental health, eating disorder and addiction treatment programs, with education and GAP-year experiences. The Wave Programs are chosen by discerning international families and consistently rate amongst the top ranked choices for the treatment of teenagers, young adults and families globally.

Research consistently indicates that teenagers and young adults have a much higher rate of recovery in programs designed for their age group. In fact, research shows that they not only do better, they stay better, with higher rates of long-term recovery and stability. Teenagers and young adults need the safety and security of treatment created to meet the challenges of developing young minds.

Treatment of Choice for Families Worldwide

The Wave – Treatment of Choice for Families Worldwide

Our teens and young adults are a special bunch and so are the families who accompany them. We meet parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters and extended families from every corner of the world. All of them are looking for a nurturing and safe space for young people to explore, enquire and regain mental wellness.

The Wave is a haven of gratitude, positivity and healing.

Families across the world are increasingly travelling overseas for treatment in mental health, eating disorders and addiction programs. At The Wave, 70% of our young people and their families arrive from the UK and Europe. The remaining 30% represent many countries and nationalities, from USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and The Middle East.

The Wave’s Seven Elements – Combining Treatment, Education and GAP-Year Experiences

The Wave Programs were designed to meet the needs of young people and their families. Using our extensive adolescent and family therapy experience, we created programs that young people would feel proud to be part of.

We stepped outside the box of mental healthcare and created fusion programs that offer life opportunities, exemplary medical care and robust clinical expertise, set in a community filled with warmth, compassion and adventure.

Young people who have been challenged by mental health issues, eating disorders and addiction can feel that they have fallen behind their peers or that life is passing them by. The Seven Elements Program has been lovingly created to offer teens and young adults the opportunity to step ahead in life skills, education and adventure.
