The Wave Private Clients

The Wave Private Clients offers families the option to bring the highest standards in psychiatric care into their home.

The Wave team of visiting psychiatrists, coaches, therapists and dieticians are able to offer tailored care plans in the safety and privacy of your home.

Our families have differing needs and the mental health care provided by The Wave is designed to provide the right type support for young people and families with chronic or acute mental health needs.

Our mental health at home teams are able to provide treatment for children, adolescents and the adults in their families. At home treatment is discreet and comfortable, avoiding in-patient admissions or hospitalisation for those families that value privacy and one-to-one care.

How to Find the Right Treatment Program for Your Teen and Family

Flexibility for Families

The Wave families value the flexibility of at-home treatment services. Our live-in or visiting psychiatric and mental health teams provide around-the-clock care for children, teens, young adults and adult family members – supporting the family in all aspects of mental health care.

Children, teens and young adults who have been admitted to a psychiatric hospital can benefit from assistance at the time of discharge and in the weeks and months that follow.

Children Under 13

Children Under 13 – Mental Health Care at Home

Children under 13 years of age, who are presenting with eating disorders, addiction or other mental health concerns, can be cared for in their own home with the support of 24-hour live-in care. Home care avoids the needs for hospitalisation for the youngest and most vulnerable children and pre-teens with acute or chronic mental health concerns.

For young children, hospital admissions can be a frightening and sometimes traumatic experience. Parents may feel isolated and out of touch with the treatment team, planning for the future and managing their child’s recovery. Planning treatment at home, that includes parents, can help the family to feel empowered and included in their child’s treatment journey.

Care at home adequately bridges the need for intensive care. Our nurses, psychiatrists, coaches and therapists can travel to any location and are available to be with your family for as long as they are needed.

Family Therapy Programs at Home

Family Therapy Programs at Home

Relationships within the family can become strained when one or more members of the family are dealing with the effects of addiction, serious mental health issues and eating disorders.

Divorce, family conflict, separation, child living agreements and financial pressures can negatively impact the family system, causing additional concerns. Addiction, eating disorders, depression and anxiety may affect more than one family member and impact the family as a whole. Our teams are able to live in the family home or visit to assist in repair and restoration of family life.
